STUDENT PROGRAM

Our student program features a Robby’s Voice speaker and powerful video vignettes to create an interactive experience designed to highlight choice and consequence. Sharing Robby’s story, students are presented a tiered message outlining the addiction process framed in a perspective they will relate to and understand.

Generally, 30 to 60-minute sessions, students will learn the warning signs and progressions of drug use, real life impact, and the avenues available to them for help. Most important, they will know that they must make a difference and SHATTER THE STIGMA OF ADDICTION AND THRIVE. It is the difference between life and death.

PARENT PROGRAM

Customized to your organization, our parent program focuses on awareness and education. Intertwining Robby’s story, our experience and the experience of others with the facts surrounding drugs in our communities, parents are presented with information they need to know.

Our parent’s program is delivered by a Robby’s Voice speaker and may also include videos, testimonials from other parents and addicts, speakers from enforcement and support agencies and a Q&A session. We work together to understand your goal, developing and delivering a program which gets your parents more engaged with awareness, prevention and action.

COMMUNITY AND SENIORS

First Responder Program

Our first responders program takes an honest and insightful view into overdose scenarios, embracing the opinions of First Responders, providing education on addiction, the addict and the families. As with all of our programs, it provides action steps as well as thought provoking perspective.

Senior Citizen Program

Our “Senior Team” leads our program focused on assisting senior citizens in understanding the epidemic and how it impacts them.  It walks them through addictive behaviors, manipulation, warning signs and action steps they may implement to protect themselves and assist in enabling the recovery process.

DRUG DISPOSAL AND DROP OFF

WHY IS DISPOSAL OF PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION IMPORTANT?
“Family and friends are the leading source of prescription drugs”
“43% of kids say prescription drugs are easier to get than illegal drugs”
“Prescription drug overdoses” are the leading cause of accidental overdose deaths”

3 METHODS OF DISPOSAL:

OPTION 1: DRUG DROP BOX (BEST)

The best method to dispose of prescription medications is at a “DRUG DROP BOX.” These boxes are located at secure locations, are operated by local law enforcement and ensure the drugs are disposed of according to legal standards. To find a DRUG DROP BOX near you, click on the link below and enter your zip code:

OPTION 2: HOME DISPOSAL

You may dispose of medications at home, but it is very important to follow specific steps which ensure safety and virtually eliminate diversion from the trash.  Remember, addicts that know you have medications may go through your trash.

  • Place medications in a disposable container such as a zip lock bag.
  • Crush medications if possible.
  • Add coffee grounds, kitty litter or saw dust to the bag.
  • Add a little bit of water to make a paste.
  • Place sealed bag or container in the trash.
  • Be sure to remove your personal information from all pill bottles before disposal.

REMEMBER – NEVER flush your medications down the toilet, down the drain or in the garbage disposal.

OPTION 3: DRUG STORE DISPOSAL

Disposal Kits are now available at your local drugstores to assist in home-based disposal.  These kits generally liquefy or disable the drugs and allow for their quick and easy disposal in a home environment.
