Substance Abuse on College Campuses: Tools for Prevention and Recovery is a one day regional collegiate conference designed to provide students, faculty, athletic coaches, campus clinicians, and other campus community members in Northeast Ohio with information on the growing addiction epidemic on college campuses and empower them to combat it through implementing prevention tools and resources.
Sponsored by Baldwin Wallace University and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health the conference will provide students, faculty, and others with:
- A better understanding of the attitudes and behaviors towards alcohol and other substance abuse among college students,
- To raise awareness to the misconceptions surrounding this epidemic, and
- To begin to implement programs and policies that will positively affect Northeast Ohio collegiate campuses.
Additional goals include raising awareness of both students and faculty on college campuses and provide resources for students who are entering and/or sustaining their recovery.
